Hey guys... I'm working on making some custom tail lights...I've got the lense cut , I have the steel housing made... but now need to figure out a good way to fit the bulbs/lights to the housing.. These will be dual bulb lightbulbs for sequencing... What is a good water tight light fixture, and how to install it? Maybe rob sometime from the bone yard ..like those twist to fits? Ideas? Thanks, Barry
Are the 2357 or the 2057 dual filliment bulbs? I need turn/brake/running in one bulb. Thanks guys, Barry
Most surface mount tail lights have a gasket for the bezel and the lens so that no water gets to the sockets. You can cut your own from an old inner tube. If the back is open to the weather, you can get water proof sockets or seal them with RTV gasket compound.
yes, 2057 and 2357 are dual filament bulbs. as i said , check in Napa's lighting catalog for sockets..there are many choices for not much money. unless you have some very good used sockets laying around , i wouldn't mess with going to a junkyard to find some..not worth the gas
