I posted these in one of my other threads ,but still good signs, this was one i saw at the intersection of US1 and route 16, in georgia, I'm wondering now what it said. looked pretty old. I'm hoping someone who has been through there before will recognize it. talking about the on with MO on the top of it. and this crazy bank is a sign on to itself.
I was searching around for some local to me 'old signs'. I found this one, I ate there last night with my family.
Here's a few more that I found and liked. The Bahia Motel, I remember that sign and building it was on Washington Blvd. and Bluff Rd. It was sad to see it torn down.
Here is a old can sign that we stripped down and are doing a repaint on for Steve @ AMOCAT SPEED EMPORIUM, will post pictures when paint and neon is done.
not old but I had to post this one up, you know you are in the deep south when you are in the middle of nowhere on US 1 and you run across the sweet onion junction. right at the intersection of the road leading to Vidilia . I want some onions now!!
Along Route 66 in Amarillo, Texas. Don't see many signs anymore shaped like the object they advertise.
Thank god the owners of the chinese resturant did not paint over this sign when they painted the rest of the building.
Another one for the scooby garage... I think these were generic signs for lots of restaurants in the 50's because I see tin reproductions on Ebay all the time. This one actually works.
I'm pretty sure that sprint car is actually in Anniston, Alabama. Still there last time I went through there. I spotted it quite a few years back and took a photo. It got posted on a few web sites and I think this is the same photo.... Funny how things come around. And no...they won't sell it....
Here's an old billboard from the '50;s. Stork bringing a canister oil filter in for a soft landing.Have a post in the miscellaneous classsifieds with it. Art work is fantastic.
yea i always wondered why some of these body shops and fabrication shops, with their skills in welding, couldn't come up with better signs. best one i remember was in ohio, guy had a body shop, cut a wrecked car in half, bolted the back half to the building with what looked like broken bricks around it, and the front half was in the lobby. had the body shops name on the ass end of the car. looked just like it had driven through the building.
