History rare Powell wagon

Saw this one at Paso in '07

I like the slide out storage tray in the right tailight, handy for a fold up breakdown warning marker. Ugly!

 

That is ugly in ways I didn't think possible....

 

I dig the Powell wagon, I'd LOVE to have one! Then again, I also like Powell trucks

 

Chop it, shave it, channel it, section it, deck it, nose it, then hide it!

 

So that's where they got the idea for the Hummer.

 

it would make a cool g***er..

 

With those lines, I bet most people today would guess that it is a recent armored vehicle for nervous celebrities and politicians...
I will have to bring in my Cymenr 1949 new cars book--it has an amazing number of lost cause cars in it.

 

Pretty cool storage spots in rear...Would make a great outdoor type vehicle...

Also in the link the TS put in...I think the old ones look better than the shiney ones. The shiney ones look pretty ugly. But the weathered ones look much better...

 

Looks like a pit bull had intimate relations with a Wagoneer.

 

....just occurred to me.....we're not talking about ROD Powell here, are we.

Man that THING is 85 different kinds of ugly. I pride myself in appreciating the under dogs, but this one needs to be taken way out in a field and quietly put down.
