I have a '49 sedan that I recently purchased & I am trying to do***ent how many characters the VIN should have. I am trying to get the car ***led in SC & have to take the car & ***le to the DMV for a visual inspection. I am looking for do***entation as to how many characters there should be as everything I have found online specificies 10 characters but the ***le only has 6. I saw this post on here & hope someone can help as any help will be greatly appreciated.
