Just wanted to give a public shout out of thanks to the Street Rodder guys on the fabulous East Coast article done on our shop (as well as a few others 'round here). Although I look old & tired in my pictures. Chuck Vranas managed to get me smiling (gasp!) and show off some great stuff of everyone's. Hats off to the rest of the shops in the area for making the article as well. hiboyroadsterboy's dad and Nelly's car were also pictured.(HAMB) (here is a link to my section- sorry - the article was too big for me to save the entire thing online....) http://www.chop-shopcustoms.com/PRESS_coverage/srmay09article.pdf Thanks Street Rodder.
Lenny, congratulations on such a great spread in a big time mag. Keep up the great work. PS - Got your reservations in for SEMA? If so, see you there? John
Dad and I were very pleased with how it came out,and ya I got 3 pictures of my 32 in there,so I'm happy.
thanks for the kudos everyone- I think EVERY shop that got spotlighted was really happy on how the article turned out. That Chuck Vranas is a master at being able to make a shop look cleaner, bigger and more efficient - all with the lense of a camera. AMAZING every time I see him do his thing. But then again- my shop is AWLAYS that clean (not!) You guys will be able to see some of the stuff up close and personal at my May 9th Open House. Bring your rides. Info will be on my website at a later time.
It would be nice if the magazines would start to notice that there is a whole country out there and not just the west coast.
the only autograph Ill sign for you will be on the back of YOUR check when I cash it no celebrity here- I just build 'em
Good for you, Lenny...real nice article. You don't look thaaaat old for a 70 year old! haha Chuck has really been doing us all on the right coast a great service with the coverage he's been getting published...it's awesome seeing these features!
I TOTALLY agree with SaltCityCustoms comment!! There are many very nice Hot Rods on the East Coast and down South!!
thanks everyone- but the article highlighted a few shops here- I guess its nice to know that other areas of the country realize that we CAN make nice stuff too..
I think everyone looked pretty cool. Guess there is a round 2 coming out next month with some more East Coast shops...
anyone know when the next issue is out ? It takes forever to get any magazines here for some reason- Im guessing its already out?
awesome- I am so thrilled that the rest of the country sees what we all do on the East Coast. It may not be as warm, but we still have some hot stuff out here!
I hope you get a good turn out for your open house in a couple of weeks, last year was a good amount of people.
