this is for our german hamb members.while i was stationed in germany in the hunsruek[sic] mountains along the mosel river,i took weekend jaunts to many villages near hahn airbase. i found many cl***ic american cars around salvage yards,55 chevies,57 buicks, old ford coupes from the late 40's.
are they still there or were they crushed after i left 35 years ago.some were 100% there and not rusted too badly.

I was in Germany from 66 to 69.......and, yes, there was lots of American iron there. I remember guys with registrations for cars in the salvage yard on base getting gas ration stamps for those registrations and "bartering" them. I remember a 55 Pontiac, a 57 Chevy (mangled) and a lot of other stuff. Of course, I remember a lot of US iron on the roads, too..........my friend's 63 Impala SS, 67 Baracuda, 63 Fairlane, a**** others.
