[/ QUOTE ] that "GM BUBBLE TOP" is an Oldsmobile that belongs to a local guy from here in MICHIGAN!! it has a 394 Olds with mechanical injection turned into electronic. it's a home built ride and one of the nicest i've seen. he was runnin Radirs all around but just switched to the big billets. it looks good both ways, but i liked the Radirs best...
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Trad. as it get's. Riz write's well and wrench'z too. [/ QUOTE ] yea... and steals ideas well also.. [/ QUOTE ] How can anybody build a "traditional hotrod" without "stealing" ideas? How "original" can you be building a Model A and still have it be a Model A? "Oh, he copied So&so's car, he put bigger tires in the back..." If it is built with all original thought and parts never used by anyone ever before it wouldn't have anything "traditional" about it.! It would be a contemporary custom prototype and probably not thought of as a hotrod at all?
I was at the second and third Labor Day cruise, they were great. Is it still a good show? I really need to move back to Orange County.

Yea, there you go making us all think again. Oh by the way, you're right. Maybe what he meant to say was "He has a knack for using the right set of traditional ideas on one car."

[/ QUOTE ] thats actually not what i was talking about .....i pitched the idea of a beer budget hotrod built off of jyd parts new parts ect.ect to both him and brennen at streetrodder, 6mo -year later my outline appears with some tweaks as his concept , story and build up....riz sucks .....

You think that you're the only one to ever "pitch" that kind of idea? That's the easiest car to build, and obviously within a great percentage of readers' abilities to accomplish. Riz happened upon the A/T project through LukeHamsterKeiseterer, and things fell in place from there. You probably think Jim and Brian raced off with "your" idea immediately after you all spoke...wrong. Be sure to grab some extra kleen-x to wipe up the tears and the milk.
anyone know about those baffles in his headers? are they homemade or bought and if so where did he get them? i emailed him at the mag about them but have not got a response back.

I think the headers came from Patriot, does that ring a bell? It mentioned them in the story, check the current R&C mag to be sure, I think I left mine at work or I would check. If it isn't in the article about his truck read the article on headers, it's there somewhere.
