Just got home from the Dixie Fried Car show hosted by the RoadKings and held at the Starlight Drive In in Atlanta Ga. This was the fifth year but my first time attending.. Show was fun with lots of HAMBer's showing up from several different states. Rather then naming all here I will let them post in on what they thought of the event. Meet most except for one I know of (from SC of all places). Some great bands played thru out the day with atleast two guys laying down some strips. Towards the end of the day there was an imprompt to burnout gathering. I have show coverage up on my site Dixie Fried Pics I want to thank the members of the RoadKings for their Hospitality.. Anyone in the south looking to do a roadtrip, this is a good event to attend. The only downfall was the parking, lots of space but the cars were parked to close to get good pics. Maybe next year they will park them every other space or every space and a half to spread them out a little.
Great Pictures Boones!!! Not sure when you took all those but it represented the show very well. Glad you made it back safe. Did you need the wipers??? I too want to thank the Road Kings for putting on a great show. The club really has some amazing cars. DueceV8's roadster is really kick ***. Lots of pretty ladies all over it. The burnout session was the best. I really enjoyed seeing everbody and getting to put some faces with the names. Draglinks, DueceV8, Stevie G, Bigron, StealthCruiser, Zor - who am I missing? Next year I will be bringing some stuff to cook on Ron's smoker - good chicken Ron - Thanks. The guy that won peoples choice in his Hemi powered chopped T had a HAMB sign - Never got up with him though -cool car. I heard he was from Mobile Alabama? I like the seats most! Anybody stay till after the movies? I'll bet that place got wide open.
Spotty, the car is a HAMBer from SC.. the one HAMBer I never did had a chance to say hi to. He has added a lot more detail from when I first seen it in Myrtle Beach as the beginning of summer. there are a few pics of it in my coverage of that show. It was my choice for best car there.. Tudor, Good ride home, caught up with Zor in Augusta. made up 30 miles on him rolling at 80 plus. Had to use the wipers for the last 10 or so miles.. Mrs Boones and myself wanted to thank you and the wife for a place to stay last night.....
It was a GREAT show...Im glad I finally meet most of ya guys...Did the flames i put on zors truck stay on on the way home?JAMIE

it was a pretty good time, but the turnout was small as far as driven cars. it was good to meet some other hambers and metalflaked60 put some stripes on my truck. thanks jamie it turned out excellent.
31sadan, I think we were both walking and talk. Next time we will hook up to say hello.. would love a ride in your sedan someday...
Boones,I know you'll be at charlotte goodguys,For sure then if not sooner.I made be worng, but thought 34 had suicide doors.Either way I've seen that car in kentucky and the Dixie fried and I love it!
This is a 34.......... COOL too......... The 32 3 Window was the first Ford coupe to have sucide doors. I agree...the little coupe is cool. The only thing I would change is the name on the ***le........to mine.
That must be a Hank Young panhead. He does some really unique stuff with what most would consider non-motorcycle parts. That's really cool.
Photos 49 50 51 52 are of the T that had the 59 chevy trunk for a top. This is the one that so many people got in a up roar when it was in the cl***ifieds. HAMB member Illistr8ted man now owns the car.Looks a lot better without the top. Great photos,,
Heah Boones sorry we didn't meet up. Great photos I have taken a few my self. The last 2 are a drunken pic of me and my girl (so you guys can reconize me at the next show) and 1 of Nashville ***** who put on a great show. here's a link Dixie Fried pics
The show was a blast. It was my 5yr olds first road trip and Car show outside of Florida. We had a blast Josh and the Road Kings really know how to treat people!!!! thanks to everyone. I made it to lake city before the water pump went out on the *****e van...Hurrican='s no part stores open. So we called in Pops and we hooked up the tow bar in 50mph winds and limped her home!!! all in all a fun trip!! what know pics of the *****en Van at the show getting stripped?
Boones it was great meeting you and tudor this weekend and thanks to everyone who came and made the event a great success. It seems to get bigger and better every year.
