Just wondering what most folks are running on the front dropped axle on model A's as far as king pin width from pin to pin? Is 46" too narrow?
    Thanks!

It seems 46" is common. Here's a pic of one on a "A"

46 is way narrow for an open wheel car -- unless your trying to tuck your wheels up under full fenders, then you want narrow. Disc brakes will push your wheels out even more, so if you're running fenders, take that into consideration.

    Mine is a '36 MorDrop, it's a little over 51 inches

Have a '31 A Sedan (with fenders and disc brakes) and definitely had to pull the 48" out to put in the 46" to make wheels fit correctly in fenders. I'll post before and after pics this weekend once it's all bolted back in

Mine end up at 47 ¼’’ to 47 ½’’ depending on how much drop (dropped original)
New axles are narrower because the perch holes are moved in. (need narrow spring)

So I am guessing my 46" Speedway axle might not look right-hoping it will be ok as I am going to use '37/'38 ford light truck spindles-brakes-drums and wide 5's.
Wish I had more pictures of what it will look like!
    Thanks guys:rolleyes:
