OK, so I'm not a fab ninja like some of you guys but I figured I'd let you see where I'm at on my '29 Tudor. I have the frame almost ready, with the front end, rear, brakes and bones blasted, coat, assembled and ready to go. I found a set of 40 style 16 in. Ford rims (currently at the coater) and have some Coker blackwalls waiting their turn. Haven't done much to the body except some lower cowl repair. (Wating to get the chassis a roller.) Although I've been into muscle cars for years, this is my first ground up hot rod build. We'll see how it goes. Also I just wanted to say thanks for the help so far, as a big portion of this car will be HAMB generated. (Via advice, parts, etc.)
Yeah, the only bad rust is in the floor cross braces, which I'm removing to channel anyway. The cowl section where a snap as the practically bolt in.
Neat setup on the rear spring perch. Will make it easy to get the stance you want without the guess work of exactly how much a spring is going to compress.
NICE Man, NICE! I love Model ''A'' Fords. Thats a BIG 'Z' in the rear of your frame, how big is it?Should sit REAL nice on that frame! Nick.
I did get this done today. Not much, but one step closer to "roller". Hopefully I'll get the rear to this Saturday.
Looks great! I'll add my name to the list of people who wish the body we started with was that good! Brian
Thanks guys! Couldn't have gotten this far without you. I know my way well around old mucle cars, but love learning something new. This place is a wealth of knowledge for someone just getting into traditional rodding. Hope to have some rear pic.s Sat, night. The goal is to have the rear end completely assembled, with the transverse spring mounted. Gonna try out my buddies new speader.
Did you recently purchase that green '31 sedan? Or are you located close to Mankato, MN? If so I've talked to you before at Busters.
I purchased it from crainium69 here on the HAMB. He's a very stand up guy. Knows his shit, and represents himself and his stuff well. That's hard to find theses days.
Nice start, adj. rear spring perch is very cool, I am building a 28 w/ a 55 Red Ram hemi and 5 speed, your doing excellent!! Keep it up, bulldog
Got the 4 link and panhard bar tacked in this weekend. But I'm really excited about how my engine turned out.
