Ragamuffins... I may know the answer to this already, but I just gotta toss it out there..as they say in the Army, the only dumb question is that one not asked.. well, for some weird reason, from my simpleman's observations..it seems as if 49 plymouths are narrower than 49 dodges...I can't find supporting evidence to disprove this yet.. what's the real deal?
According the the book I have it says that the Dodge Wayfarrer is 4 inches (115 ) longer than the plymouth Delux (111), it doesn't mention anything about wide, ....but someone her will know for sure http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2
These are for a 49 Plymouth Deluxe convertible, I believe it is the P-18 because of the longer wheelbase.Wheelbase: 118.5 inches Overall length: 191.5 inches Overall width: 72.0 inches Overall height: 64.0 inches Front track: 55.0 inches Rear track: 56.0 inches Heres the weblink for the rest of the specs. http://www.hemmings.com/hcc/stories/2005/07/01/hmn_feature23.html I'll keep searching for the Dodge model, if I find em I'll get posted up as soon as I can.
