step van complete

    Been working on this for the last 2 years.
    Parts are tough to find.
    Want to take it to LSR.

    nice...i have a nice grill for a 63 chevy step van..chrome plated...let me know if you or anybody wants to buy it.

    forgot to say this is a 1966 chevy p30 ch***is with a FLXABLE SOUTHERN body built in Evergreen, Alabama. All aluminum body.
    I am in the process of polishing it.

    With a generator and air conditioning it sounds like a perfect Bonneville vehicle.

    This is what I am working on 1952 GMC Grumman Olson Kurb Side it is a Alloy Body and it came in the Comet Clipper and Peak Loaded. all are GVW 7000 lbs Maximum I have the (Comet) T3-8 is a 104” wheelbase 8 ft. 1080 LB. Alloy Body 1 1/4 ton payload capacity 300 cu. Ft. Grumman stepvan or a DUBL-DUTI or a GMC DUBL-DUTI Grumman Morgan Olson Step Van (Formerly Grumman Olson Milk truck bread truck route van.     What cl*** will you be running at Bonneville? I hope you have a lot of horsepower.

    No it is a 235 stovebolt six cylinder single barrel updraft carb (BB-1)
    I get to do carb work laying down. looking for 1941 DUBL-DUTI for a 502 ci this will be for Bonneville.
    the 1952 is for the wife's Cheese Shop

    Parts for these vans should be readily available. The forward control P-ch***is were used for decades and hundreds, if not thousands, are probably still in service. Most early and late motorhomes were built on the P-ch***is as well.
    There are separate sections for the P-ch***is in the Moog and other ch***is parts catalogs.

    Old stepvans rule. I would totally have one if I didn't have to buy food and so on.

    My wife's grandfather would love this thread - he built Grumman stepvans for years and years in Sturgis, MI. He occasionally talks about getting a '50s or '60s model and turning it into a camper.
