Hot Rod Therapy - Post Some Pix

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Psychobilly Boi, Sep 3, 2004.

  1. Hi Everyone,

Almost weekend for me.. been a **** week. So, post me some pix to cheer me up. I know there was the Marcus driven show us your car thread...but there must be more hot rod pix lurking at the bottom somewhere. Need to adjust my mind space before I head home and work on the ride.

Is that ride yours? I'm sure I've seen it in maybe American Rodder, with a caption along the lines of the owner wasnt even born when this 40 was chopped.

Yeah that's Jimmy. It was staged...If you'll notice there's a beer can on the top too. [IMG] FWIW, the cop was really cool...he was having an RPU built at Gordini's in Fremont.

Here's a couple more pics I took the same weekend at the Asphault Invitational. One of these days I might get off my *** and post the rest of the pics I took.

This car was in TRJ a while back...a true survivor from Sacramento in the early '60s. A chick owned it then:

The blown flatty was added after Jim Stroupe bought it.

Somebody should clone that Desoto-grilled, injected Y-block 5-window...that has to be one of the baddest looking 33-34s ever.

Was it ever featured in any magazines other than that picture?

B***, you got good taste. I scanned that thing from a TRJ a few years ago and made a large copy for my desk at work. It is from the sqare roll bars book I think. I dont own that book so I dont know if there are more shots of it.

that is the best looking hotrod in my eyes..... ever. ****ing bad.

Yeah the TRJ article is also the only place I've ever seen it...since I don't have the "Cool Cars Square Rollbars" book either.

Maybe someone on here knows some more about it? The thing is too ****ing killer.

Hi Drewfus, Yep I have been out of touch for a while, I ran into Merc50 recently, and it got me thinking of the HAMB again.
I started redoing my 33 last year. I set the engine up a little higher to fill the engine bay, more chrome, etc. I really like the coupe that Gooch posted, in fact I purchased a pair of ET 10 spokers for the G***er look. Once I mounted them up I was dissappointed, I guess I like symmetry? it returned to the back of the garage for monthes.
I have the Americans on it now, but here is a shot with the 10 spokers.
