I recently picked up a car, when arriving there i looked the car over ad noticed it is going to need some weatherstripping, mainly in the front and read vent type windows, i am pretty new to this and searched around a bit, i figured ebay would turn up something but really got nothing.

Its for a 1940 Dodge Deluxe Sedan, pictured here, i think i also need a few window track strips and channels, along with a wiper arm or blade...the one arm is there but no blade, something about a roll pin or something?

Any help is appreciated...BTW, im trying to do this on a budget to get it roadworthy for the summer, if there is "universal" items i can use or if anyone has gone other route i will look into all, if i have to buy new or aftermarket so be it though. I want to get it "sealed" up fpr the weather so i dont have to be afraid of weather change and such while out in it.

    Thanks

  2. Contact Andy Bernbaum, www.oldmoparts.com or Steele Rubber, I've dealt with Bernbaums for 15yrs and while he can be a bit testy he knows his stuff and has a great paper catalog, the Steele Rubber catalog is also very good, both cover mopars well.....I have an Australian 1940 Dodge Sedan, 318 Poly,Auto,4wheel discs etc since 1971, also a 1941 Plymouth Coupe thats getting rodded, theres pics of both on the About Us page at www.scaleautomobilia.com.au ......the 1/4 vent rubbers are the same for all 40 Mopars, door weatherstrip is also basically the same........email me direct if you like from my shop........like the car, regards, Andy Douglas

www.robertsmotorparts.com is another good source...I've never dealt with Steele, but I have their catalog and I'm impressed with their selection...

Two more to try: restorationspecialties.com here in Pa, and restorationstuff.com (Restoration Supply Co) in Calif.

I just got off the phone with the good folks @ Steele Rubber Parts odering stuff for my 40 Plymouth. They may be a bit higher on price than Roberts but man they got good stuff with good service. Gary Roberts @ Roberts Motor Parts eats and sleeps the Mopar stuff so he can be a huge help too.
