What types of cars are allowed to race at this event. I have an altered with a 468 and a powerglide. Just wondering if I would be able to make some p***es.

A modern altered is really stretching it... We try to keep this one as traditional as possible.

  10. fiddy four that was one of my favorite altereds Ryan my altered has 103" wb cross leaf front suspension and a banjo rear it's the motor thats not traditional

You're running a Ford banjo behind a BBC? And it holds up?

I think it was 32 Bantam that had the big block and long wheelbase.

  13. I'm only running 265" chev v6 and it's not running yet it's a 3.5L 60degree v6 from an uplander had to have everything custom made rocker harland sharp, pistons wisco, sleeves advance engineering, cam schiender, connecting rods carrello.stroked crankshaft added .500 spacer on the deck and installed 4'' sleeves had to reroute oil p***ages.making a tunnel ram intake etc....I could have built a blown small block for less money and time. the banjo rear has currie 31 spline axles and 9'' big bearings

That's fine. I just thought it would be a cool event to attend. I understand trying to keep it traditional. The car isn't fast. It runs 6.30's. But it is newer technology. It just has older styling with the Bantam body.

  18. life is about learning people have to be introduced to ideas,I never thought about what was or is traditional before bumping into this forum I just built things the way I liked and don't care about fads.people here still think street freaks from the 70's are g***ers. People like '32 Bantam are ready to embrace new ideas but they have to be encouraged not shot down.

  19. tomslik I posted the pics in the thread above I couldn't down load them in this thread I not very handy around computers

Yeah, the beater is still alive but I have so little time and so many projects I have to make flowcharts to decide what I am gonna do.........I should have the street version done for the next hamb drags, it'll be a coupe though.

    Jeff, it's just a 28 Model A sedan chopped 6". Running a SBC, a 276 CID, Hilborn Injected with a glide.
