Your car looks pretty solid. Wish some of my first cars looked as good. What are your plans for her? And if it was me, I'd tone down the wheels a bit. Maybe some narrow rings, or small caps. Oh and check into getting her aligned since you lowered her. Just a thought...ghost
yeah some of my first cars were not so solid haha this is my 53rd car so more knowledge now lol i put the moon caps back on today looks better!! want to get bigger white walls that go all the way to the rim other then that just alittle at a time ya know
I like the 4 door no-wait, looks good. I think that the mini trim rings from WHEELKID would look good. When I put them on my '62 it mellowed the color of the wheels a bit, made them look more connected to the car instead of a BULLHORN! of color. Marty McF.
Modern copies of the Cal Custom rings that went with the Spider caps in '62 I believe. $ 120 for a set of 4! Well worth it. Contact Wheelkid on here or go to the Rally America website: http://www.rallyamerica.com/old_school_acc/index.html Marty McFly
Good job. My 13 year old son just bought a 4-door '62 Bel Air project for his first build. Your pics will provide some great inspiration for him. Right now, he wants to shave, nose/deck, lower, flake the roof and paint the rest gloss black or deep maroon. I want him to work toward the goal, but also survive the 2,000 or so hours of sanding he has to get through first!
Got one just like it that I am starting on this month. Plan is black from the trim up, bright red below the trim, and spyder caps.
McFly... was looking at your album. I never expected to see THAT engine in that innocent looking '62. Got some questions on your nifty radio delete plate. Will be sending a PM.
I think I am going to keep mine 235 3 speed. going to run split exhaust, and I have an old two carb set-up.
