I think that Green SUV looking thing is mounted on a mini Quad chassis. Now that they pretty much banned those things it is time to snap them up before they are gone!

So much for me getting anything else accomplished. Now I have to hunt for one of these.....and then ones for the kids. That video was peer pressure to do dumb shit and I can't resist.

  23. That looks like some hellacious fun...and I gotta say that whoever is shooting and editing these videos is the John Frankenheimer (Director of Grand Prix with James Garner) of amateur videos !! Really well done-they're so well done, it makes you want to run right out an build your own.

Spend a couple of fun hours on youtube searching "modified powerwheel" and the links from those videos. There is a ton of clips on those things. Some dude built a "mudder" that plows thru just about everything. They use everything to power those things. 18 and 24 volt conversions, chainsaw, lawnmower, garden tractor, power wheel chairs etc. Most have custom frames because the plastic is too brittle especially if they have been left outside (even worse in the hot california sun). I have yet to see a good "how to" build on one. I have 4 jeep bodies and a quad body laying around here and a power chair 12v motor and gel battersies for the first build but still need the motor controller. Last year I tied a rope to a thrashed one and dragged my granddaughter around the back yard with my golf cart until we smashed it to bits. (Waaaaay too much fun). Google modified powerwheels for more info.

We have a stock vw, and on concrete it has enough power to do doughnuts. Im working right now on making a friction drive bike for the kids to play with involving a weed-eater motor, a bike peg and some bracketry to hold the motor against the rear tire for some power. Looks like we may add some to the dub too
