breakfast cereal hotrod cards.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by kiwijeff, Mar 13, 2009.

  1. in the 70s, kiwi kids had hotrod cards to collect that came with weetbix (breakfast cereal). there was two series of these cards, i only have 1 of the first series, but have two albuns from second series. one album full and one half full. did any other countries do hotrod cards?

Wow those bring back some memories Kev, looks like they're all from Autorama at Canterbury Court 1969 or 70. I'd completely forgotten about the Vodka and Orange mouse minor.
I see the Holtang lurking in several shots, a local wire wheel guy still has it but I don't think it's turned a wheel under it's own steam in years. Rumor had that it was built in 2 weeks before the show, lots of cardboard and bog and it sure looks rumply in some of those shots.
