You know how they say that you don't know what you have until its gone? Well, tonight i realized how much better the HAMB is compared to other automotive forums. My daily driver is a 98 jeep grand cherokee with a $4-5k stereo system. Amps, subs, full aftermarket "this and that", yada yada yada. My first post at NAGCA.com (North American Grand Cherokee ***ociation) dealt with the intracacies of highly modifying the Jeeps of that era's stock audio system. It dealt with speaker size, amp wattage, wiring diagrams, and ohm load. I explained step by step the process of installing over 2k watts of power into a late model jeep. It was a full blown tech article that i spent a good amount of time on. My first post mind you (with a proper introduction). And the only responce i got was, and i quote, "pics or ban." I didnt realize that a picture of an indescript door panel, or amp was really necessary. But apparently and NAGCA its grounds for banning. Amazing. I didnt respond. I just deleted the post and my account. And came directly to my brethern here at the HAMB, who welcomed me, and my 55 chevy 4-door to 2-door conversion post, with great respect and appriciation. So I thank you, HAMB folk, for appriciating quality posts, and as our motto says, spreading the gospel of traditional hot-rods to hoodlums world-wide. Just a rant. No response needed. Thank you.
hmm....how about a tech article here : 3000watts with 6volt charging system. or even better,....how can i get my underglow to work with my 6v system? just kidding man.....and yeah this place is awesome.
Thats a good question! haha. Olathe is in western colorado. North of Montrose, south of Delta. And about an hour and a half southeast of Grand Junction. Its just a stoplight on the highway. I dont live in the town really. We have 10 acres to the southwest of Olathe, in the canyon-land of the Uncompahgre Plateau. All that sweet corn you buy from city market in the summer.... That comes from the Olathe area. Olathe Sweet Corn!
