Been quietly working on this for a while. Now that it ready to go to work, I thought I'd share. 54 F100, 500 Caddy, TH400, 9 in rear end, power disc brakes, power steering, Vintage AC (behind an old dash box). It'l be my parts hauler/tow vehicle work horse.

Great looking truck. I hope my 54 will look that good one day. Would you post pic of the engine? Thanks.

Don't work that horse to hard. It looks way to cool to be anything but a hotrod
    cruiser.

Nice truck, the big Caddy should make it a great driver.

Pretty plain under the hood. Stock Caddy, vintage air, 4 row US Radiator Desert Cooler with dual 11" spal fans.
Not fast, but powerful. Needed something to pull a car hauler.

Was the Caddy an easy fit? Is your F100 similar in underhood dimensions as my '50 F1?

Not familiar with the 51. It fit OK. Sits too low for the engine fan. Too close for a big monster fan, thus the dual spals. Previous dual row radiator (that worked fine with a 289) wouldn't handle the caddy. Very tight on the Toyota power box. Tighter headers would have helped. Had to trim the crossmember at the tranny pan, just one side. Used a front sump oil pan, still hit the axel (drop axel would help) so we shortened the sump (moved the back edge forward 2 inches). Not really a tight fit, just tweaking for clearance here and there.

For looks, I would have liked it lower, but it had to be practical. So we pulled 2 leafs in front and reversed the eyes to bring it down about 2 inches. Same in the rear.
