For future reference (because one day, young gr***hopper, you too will have this question asked of you), ALL "Nova" sixes (those made between '62 and '86) and small block V8's share the same ****** bolt pattern. So if it'll fit on a 350, it'll fit on a 250....or a 230....or a 327......or... BTW, welcome abroad. Elvis
Ya need to wear an iron skillet in the back of yur britches. These guys are brutal!! They scare the **** outta me...............
Groovy! Glad you found my comments helpful. Remember that ******'s often come in two lengths, as well. "Car" and "Truck", or what's commonly referred to as "short shaft" and "long shaft" (length of the output shaft). Your truck should take the "long shaft" version. Check the length of your current ****** to the length of the one you're going to buy. Might require a change in driveshaft if you decide to run a ****** of different length. ...btw, check your PM. 6narow
And we all know that you must be able to spell to even own a truck in some states. Man these guys are rough sometimes. I think they get hungry about this time of day and get a little grumpy.

there's one in between the long and short but i can't remember the dimensions or application..... big help, ain't I? i want to say it was a bop trans rather than a chevy but i could be wrong
Slap me if I'm wrong, but you need to build up some kind of crossmember for that transmission. The '65 I once owned had the trans hanging off the back of the engine with out a crossmember. It was no biggie making one, mine was 1x2 sq. tube. Am I having flashbacks? Thanks, Mike BTW, most of us can't spell either. And we NEVER proof read!!
In the past, what I've done is tried the crossmember that came with either the ****** or the car and saw if it'll the other vehicle or not. If its just a matter of relocating the bolt holes, I just drilled new holes in the frame. The square tubing works, too, if you want to totally go custom. If you had the ****** hanging off the engine with no support, your vehicle must've been using the older style of motor mount (?). Those didn't use a ****** mount, because the main support was a ring that went between the engine and the ****** and the other "point" of the mount was a small bracket that fit on the front of the motor. 6narow
Interesting. I only remember "long" and "short", but that doesn't mean an intermediate length didn't exist. "BOP" refers to GM's other divisions (Buick, Olds, Pontiac) and they used a slightly different bolt pattern on the engine side. ******s should've been the same, otherwise, though. 6narow
