Looks wicked! How 'bout adding a "cowl" between the motor and steering wheel...?

  7. I tryed to fit cowl and dash from 34 ford junior , but it totally take away the tub-effect , and all the vital info is allready readable from enginebay... oilpressure is visible via pressuregauge that is top of the intakemanifold, generator has it´s own light so there is no need for dash anyway.

And yes i´m affraid of those chains... i have somekind respect to those and keep the speed low.

Motion picture is in progress  i´m not so expert with these F%%¤n computers;)

I love the thing!!! The steering wheel rocks, the tubs rule, and its powered by a flathead, what more do you need? And he is driving it with chains on the tires in the snow and ice, this my friends is a die hard hot rodder!!!

  10. Yeap , seems to be working , here´s another short shot:

After this i´m off to Florida next few weeks , to warm up a little , see you in Billetproof at Garlits or Daytona spring show!!!!

Sounds good, just would not want to stop too fast in the tubs. Might loose all the bath water.

    P*** the soap.

So rad. Weird as heck, but rad!

  18. Looks like a ****** commercial waiting to happen. :D

  19. Don´t know yet , i have made few miles on the snowy surface and those stickers just hang on.... Slippery when you brake if that thing is pointing down.

Next time i´ll drive the tubester ,the snow is propably melted so stickers will fly ;)

I had to check what the hell is ****** commercial , but now i know:D:D

  20. Ok , back in cold Finland , i just moved tubester out of the way to have space
so i can change new and bigger engine to Nash.... Summer is coming , FAST! :)

  21. wow, thats real cool. i cant wait to see how it turns out.

  22. I wasnt realy feeling this untill I saw the drive by video, that thing is so ****ing cool!

  23. Thank for the link , have to try it someday , for now i´w painted the badly rusted bottom of the driver´s side tub with epoxy-gray. At least it will keep my jeans clean from rust... at least from outside :D

  24. Ok , i just took off the chains ,no more snow here :D

I drove a couple miles with that thing and engine stumbled , it seems to be having too rich fuel/air mix?

I worked few hours to figure out what went wrong , it seemed to shut down allmost all sparkplugs , they only give sparks at iddle , but wont fire under the load. I put new fuel in the tank and drain the carbs and so on , chek the distributor (new msd billet) ewerything was ok.

The little ****** 60hv flatty has two ford 94 carb (on eddie mayer intake) , both with 55 powervalve and number 50 primary jets.... Has anybody deal with this combination , should i go with smaller jets or just plug the powervalves off:confused: I allready order some smaller pw´s ,35 and 25 if they work better? I think that small engine is not capable to make enough vacuum to keep those pw´s shut when you throttle it just a littlebit?

Those carbs allso would need a proper fuel-level valves , original ones don´t have rubber tips and they are tend to overflow regulary...

If someone have basic tuneup tips for this combo , it would be nice to hear . so i don´t have to make all the mistakes :)

    Thanks . AVG

    That`s crazy I like it !
on my big flathead I run 3.5 power valves .50 jets and 2 pounds of pressure
with a 2 carb set up

  27. I do have that pressurising allso in mind ,but with 51 lincoln BIG flatty....and a different car.

This small succer needs to be adjusted so i can take a few trips with it in this summer.

Well, i try this and that ,when i got those different size powervalves and jets.

my motor is a 51 merc wasn`t thinking about the bigger lincoln
my 32 coupe ran rich as hell until I took the 7.0 pv out and cut them in half to 3.5`s
talk to ****ster27 on here he could probably tell ya what they need

  29. Thanks , i try to contact him. I usually try everything else my self before i ask ,but now i´m trying the other way..

  30. Ok , now it´s working better , i put 2.5 pv´s to carbs and it helped a lot , and car have made it´s first longer trip (a hefty 30 miles :D)...

Seems to be in the rich side still , so next i try those smaller jets ,let´s see what happen.

The engine has been overhauled about 20 years ago , i just take a peek inside before bolting those go-fast-goodies on and it seems that valve closing is based on bouncing from the aluminium head  (or it sounds like it :p)

I´ll have to figure out where i could find new valve springs for that engine.... some newer car perhapse?
