Ever bought anything at estate auction?

I like going to auctions and getting the good deals. I just had an auction with my parents a little over a year ago. That was not so good. The auctioneer did a ****py job of advertising and it was painful to watch the stuff that was sold. I would have done better having a yard sale.

 

You might consider an estate sale, advertise in the local newspapers and Craigs list. Try to do it Friday, Saturday and Sunday, word of mouth is good to get more people to come look. Put everything out with prices and sell it all yourself. Donate the stuff that doesn't sell and take a tax deduction on the value.

 

If you have the time to spare, put a photo album together of the items that can be shipped reasonably, and post it here. You have a member base of 65,000 hot-rod guys. Someone needs/wants what you have. If you make the asking price reasonable, you'll make the stuff go away.
