Well I was on the way out to a cousins house today to do some work on a solar system I installed some years ago when I realized I finally had my camera to shoot some pics of some big old bomb lookin things. I have no idea if these are remotely close to what people use for belly tank cars. They seem to be pretty good size. I would imagine around 15+'. Anyway, there are at least 3 maybe 4 there. I don't know the owner but it looks like they are cleaning out the property and someone would probably be able to pick them up. I can probably get the owners contact info next week if anyones interested. They are located in a town called Paloma located in northern California. Here's some pics.

Those are pretty cool. Definitely not the most desirable, but they look wide enough to make a car out of. And if they are free..... even better.

  5. Last one is still in the crate. Looks like one laying under there as well. Does this make it a NOS item ? :D

  6. I already found them using google earth pretty easily. Kinda scary they have roadside views of all those back roads. If anyone wants a hint PM me I saved the address.-Weeks

I think there's actually 3 in the crates. Seeing them in person I think they are 3' to 4' wide. I will try to hop out and measure them this weekend when I go back....BW

They're on a dirt road a few miles off the main hwy. You turn left past B.F. You got a pretty mouth. Paint them up like a bomb and they would make one hell of a Bar-B-Que!!!
