So Billetproof's coming up...... And I'm wondering if I "deserve" to go this year- I haven't had my car driveable since the first billetproof I took it to- (in 2001) And I've honestly lost touch w/alot of my ol' car buddies.... Will it be worth it to go??? Maybe if Chris gets his shoebox done, And I can roll up in that thing- (he doesn't really know too many folks in this game) Or Maybe I can get Paul and Randy to roll down w/their rides.... But I'd still be there in SOMEONE else's car.... And as coool as that is- When it COULD be "your own" wheels- It ****s! And the ex will be there- With HER car all spiffed up, And we're cool now (maybe? I think?) But she'll be rollin' with the club.... And then there's me. Carless. ****ing STILL. Still carless. After how many years? Whatever...
I see your point but on the other side of the coin maybe going and seeing the ex and the other cars will motivate you to get your wheels rollin' again. I'm bad about that sort of thing with projects. sometimes it take me a kick in the balls to get started again.
you need a rope. Or better, quit whining, and go build something. Nothing ever builds itself, only countless hours and long nights will get you there. Or cash. You choose. You seem to have a roller, what does it need? A engine, some brakes? Cant be that much work, huh? It'll be on the road in fourteen days, filled up with new chicks, you and some cold ones. Go get'em. Z
That's why I have missed the first two HAMB drags. I don't want to go until I have my own ride. I only live thirty minutes away from MO-KAN! I'm slowly making progress and my car is much closer to being finished now than it was a year ago.

[/ QUOTE ] So come out and make NEW car buddies. That's what this hobby is really about. **** all the politics and **** and have a good time WITH CARS. Even if their not your car. I haven't had a car at my own how for two years. How much do you think that ****s for me. Thye cool part is seeing and making friends.
didnt Germ sell you a rancho awhile back ??? and your dad gave you a flathead harley or something ??? sounds like a mood swing lots of people drive hondas to BP
Mood swing??? Uhhhh...... dunno bout that. Yea, I snagged germ's old ranchero, plan9 has it now though. But as for the HARLEY, that was someone else. My dad hates "old ****". Kirk!'s right tho I s'pose-

It's like saying, "I'm not going to drive my car until it's all finished." Seem kind of silly when you put it that way, huh? Just go. The only person who cares whether you have a car there or not is you.
I know what you're saying Haring, but going to an event like that without having your ride is like fishin' from the bank!
