I was just watching tivo'ed "My Classic Car" and I just started wondering where he came from. did he build cars? was he an Auto journalist? or???? I saw a show awhile back where he and his son rode motorcycles across Europe. That was a pretty good show. But just wondering where he came from?
Holly SHIT!!!!!! who would have guessed, Quantum physics and developed pringles all I can say is WOW!!!!!
I think he is like the guy on PINKS, A tv show host and thats it! I doubt either one of them could build what they talk about on there shows. Talk is cheep. At least Dennis Gage highly complements the car builders for there efforts. Now he needs to louse that stupid handle bar stash.
That's pretty interesting that he holds alot of patents on products. Cool! I thought he was just a geek like me....
Who would have thought? Very impressive resume. I figured he was just a teevee clown with a stupid mustache.
Ever have a chip out of a can with a picture of a guy with handlebar moustache? For the life of me I can't remember the name. He is the guy that invented those chips. For real. Joe
Dennis is pretty swell in person. And the stache IS insured. Now that I know he climbs and is a mountaineer I have even more respect for him. Maybe I can get him on some vertical ice out here?!
Studied quantum physics and ends up making energy drinks and Pringles. Life's strange journeys.... Funny how many get stuck on that 'stash.
I met him at the GNRS last year. He was pretty cool. He has a few cars too. Didn't ask him if he built them but he drives them all the time. I told him about the HAMB and he said he had heard of it and had been wanting to check it out. Seemed really down to earth and friendly...
Started out in 1890 with the original Schwinn company riding those bycycles built for two until he gave the the old mans daughter a mustache ride
He came to "Back to the Bricks" in Flint a few years ago. HAMBer Kritz (tattoo artist) sketched up a really nice mustache and sent JDubbyah to chase down Mr. Gage for an autograph which he readily signed. When Kritz got the art board and signature he back he proceeded to finish it by placing the words "mustache rides 5 cents" around the drawing. So now there's a pretty funny sign endorsed by Dennis Gage hanging in a tattoo shop in Flint.
Didn't he invent the bicycle?.................Uh, there seems to be some question about if he indeed is the inventor of the Pringle potato chip! (see previous Dennis Gage threads>)
