The heads are cast in Australia and the machine work is done in the states shipped bare.
I bought them knowing I was using the blower not to worried about flow and also brought the weight down in the nose of my car.
The motor is 13 to 1 with this pulley set up I am using.

I hooked the chute to the four link attachment points worked out well. The body ride height is five to six inches.

Lets see aero of a small brick.
But forgiving the minor aero a cool as hell car.
Big enough motor. Well it could have been a little bigger. LOL ;)
    Watermelon sized balls.
    Gear choices til Tuesday.

Lets see, carry the six, divide by 3, mulitply by 47, times radius of clinched puckered butt cheeks, plus weight of layden swallow and one hen weigh, log function, inverse obtuse angle of 37.4532 degrees, add 5, sun angle of three divided by barometric pressure and wind constant formula...equals.

Prediction 158.6537594893425 or so. Calculator ran out of room to carry it any further.

Good luck. Be safe. And check over everything after every run twice and then again for good measure.

And write a damned Denise style story with lots of pictures please!

Godspeed boy and please above all have fun and be careful.

Good luck, be safe, I'm pulling for you.

My guess is 135+ then you will have to lift.

    Get used to doing this.

This is speedjunky's car and we have had it at the the mile the last 3 events. In this configuration, alcohol injected BBC with a 6 speed and 373 gears we broke a lot of shit and smoked the clutch.

In this configuration the best we did was 172 back to back. But that was with skinney rear tires.

There WILL be a 15 mph head wind.

Larry, Glen's right about where your tether is anchored for the chute. This is the first I've seen of your mount. The body only being 5-6 inches off of the ground may be lower than where your tether is anchored. If so, when deployed the chute will try to lift the rear of the body in pulling it's tether tight.

This will work out fine it mounts to the lowest part of the frame. I really have no other choices this is the best place to hook up the tether. And other wise it will make for a fun ride.:)

  14. My kid and I took his Porsche with a leetle bitty 2.5 litre turbocharged stock 4 banger to Bonneville and ran 157[before he put the BIG turbo on it] ...surely your blown big block can do 165 if it will stick on the ground.
The Porsche did tend to wander around a bit over 150 on the salt but later we [after mounting the BIG turbo] took it road racing and I was navigating in the passenger's seat at over 160 on asphalt....road was narrow and crowned and we had to keep it in the center of the road at 140 and over...it wanted to drift around a bit.

  15. I'd guess somewhere between insanely fast and off your rocker fast.

    Good luck and stay SAFE!

Checked the last things off my list for the car. Took the head lights off. Put the numbers on the door and mounted the video camera. Last chance to guess a speed.

  19. I'll say 158, I think it'll skate around on ya, you got plenty of power but no weight to hold you down.

STAY IN THE THROTTLE until you know the sute is fully open then you will be able to tell if it lifts.....godspeed.

    I've done the math here:

1:1 gear ratio in the transmissions highest gear x 2.68:1 ratio for the rear end x 98.171875" per tire revolution x 6000 RPM = 208.22 mph

Figure a reduction of 40% for the total lack of aerodynamics and a 10% addition cause things are just bigger in Texas I figure 137.43 mph.

Larry, I've seen your car run and it runs great, I know it will run faster than that, but my guess will be 154 mph. only because cars tend to act funny over 150 and that might be when I hope you get out of it, but I've seen you drive too... Good luck Man come home safe we have more drag racing to do. Dennis

I ran my stude at maxton with bags in the front. I didnt like how it felt and i was going pretty slow. (138) Gear is your friend on a mile. i would suggest 3.00 or lower. Im geussing you'll go 150ish.

I have gears I will start out with the 268. If I need to I can go down259 or back up 299 335 380 414:)

I changed out my pulleys and tuned the carbs I will be running ten pounds of boost. Car runs extremely healthy now.

Not interested in killing my self but I will push the car to the limit to see how fast I can make it go.

Ran 112 in the 1/8 mile no problems other than the tires breaking loose at the end of the track.

We put 300lbs of weight in the back of the sedan and went faster. Bring extra weight and 3/8 and 5/16 fuel line.
