Car was originally gold engine was orange.I saw 2-toned's & liked it. Looks great & will work out great with what I am doing.
I'm an Oldsmobile guy. They are supposed to be Gold...Or Olds Red. Those in the know can even tell You what era Olds motors I am into.

Speaking of gold...I drove by the Ford dealer yesterday and they had the most impressive shade of gold on a new F150 that I have seen as a factory color in many moons...Sorry no pix but some of y'all may want to look into it as paint color...if you like gold that is.
Mine is bronze....FORD FACTORY 1949-1951.....no trend here....I did however customize with the red..it adds 20 hp
Why does it matter? Paint it whatever the hell you want! I thought this place was about people who like building and working on cars. Man as of lately about every other tread is about someone *****ING about what someone else is doing. Who the F!@# cares. If you don't like what someone else is doing fine, but maybe what your doing looks like **** too! And yes my engine is GOLD!. Was built in the late 50's so I guess the trend has been going on since then huh! Need to change the name of the site to the DRAMA!
My RPU will be running gold on the mopar motor. The body will be painted emerald green with gold & white striping so gold just seems right. Or maybe chevy orange? nah...

Sorry this caused you such destress and did not see where I was *****ing about anything. I actually thought that there might have been something to the gold paint. Maybe a good story or some history and as far as what anybody else is doing I don't give a ****. I build what I like and love to see what other people build. I have great respect for people who get out there and build there own stuff. I have enjoy this since I was a kid and spend countless hours in the garage with my oldman. So if you took this as I was talking **** I apologize for that. But I did'nt see anyone else taking it that way in there post.
