While you have that 'learnin' book out :D

11 stickers displayed on the headlights and a pillar of stickers on the windshield in front of the driver is sophmoric, asinine, and profoundly rediculous. It does not resemble or exercise inteligence. The visulal presentation appears as a parody or a joke executed by the owner.
That take away from the greatness of the roadster pictured. It offends the eyes greatly and is a paralell equivelent with wearing pajamas, slippers and pink hair curlers at wall-mart.
One or two stickers proudly displayed could be quite tasteful, after 2 it becomes something much less.

They put them on the headlight instead of say,the front tire tread, because you don't need headlights when the car is on a trailer.

Ok ok ok.... well i had a friend of mine let me know about the big discussion on the stickers on my truck....i had no idea that i would be spending so much time reading all the comments... i have to admit i have had a great time reading... thx so much for all the comments good and bad... everyone has an opinion...now on to clarify WHY all the stickers stacked.... The only reason was that there is one sticker for every year that i have attended the roadster show... except for this past year because of my soon to be x-wife..lol sorry had to throw that in... so really for all of you that dont like them there is one less.... as for the trailer queen .... NO it gets driven everywhere... and it will be at the roadster show this coming fathers day and yes one more sticker. I do have to say after reading all the comments,,,, i look at it and wonder why i did leave them on after all these years....maybe i should take them off and make all of you guys happy..... i guess you will have to wait and see... If you look back at the cover of Streetrodder Feb '07 you will see my truck on the cover, most photographers make you take any stickers off... but he thought it was pretty cool to have been to the roadster show so many times without missing one so he didnt want me to take them off.... so put some stickers on your headlights maybe your car will make the cover....lol.......Just messing with you guys..... again thanks for all the comments i have enjoyed reading all of them.... and if you have time visit me at www.socalpinstriper.com
take care and keep the tires spinning and stick'm on the headlights... Hey John and Chris ... thanks for looking out for me.....
    Styles Out.....

Well I have an excuse, I work third shift and it's either comment on this thread or go do some work....... anyway, when I went out for the show, we flew out and if I remember correctly, they handed those stickers out to anyone who wanted one. Now if I did drive my hot rod out, I'd probably keep it on the car for a while just to show people I had driven across country......but then.......(fade to signature line)

Did it block your vision? My my biggest problem with the stickers is that I drive at night. I like my headlights to work, not a fan of impaired sight.

Ya know if you want to give us a lesson on definitions, you may want to run spell check.
    And turn down the yelling.

  15. Well that ENDS this mystery...........now welcome to the HAMB! some guys here can be narrow minded even tho they are talented,as far as the trailer thing, the only people Ive ever heard ***** about them were people that couldnt afford one,They do have there place and time its not always possible to drive to said event. enjoy the HAMB.ignore the BS:D

This reminds me of the trend in Rhode Island that seemed to start in the 1970's of placing your plate registration sticker around the edge of the plate, instead of where they tell you to do it.

(this is not an opinion, it was just the only picture I could find :) )

I have two of those on the headlight on my Deuce. I had a couple on my '57 Sedan Delivery, but I had to change the headlight so they're gone now, oh well.

And yes, it's a meaningless "stautus symbol", but so what. It's no different than the guys who drive around for a full year with their window sticker from the Austin Lone Star Round Up on their machine. I guess the LA Roadster show is just not "cool" enough for this to be accepted by the greaseriffic cool crowd who need to find something to ***** about.

By the way, for me, these stickers don't really carry any status, they got put on at the Roadster Show and I left them there. That's all.

Now my crew vehicle sticker from Bonneville, that one does cary some status in my mind.

    Oye vey!

I know the "sticker man" very well. He is a very cool guy, none of his cars are trailer queens. He contributes as much or more to the hobby as anyone. He takes the time to sponsor a local cruise night once a month, hand makes trophys for it,and devotes a lot of time in the community for free to help our part of the world. To bash someone for some stickers on a headlight seems silly to me. I have been Hot Rodding since i was 16 {am now 66} and have always tried to treat everyone with respect, regardless of my personal feelings towards what they drive,or how it looks. For the record i will bet he has more miles on that RPU then most who own a Hot Rod. In closing it saddens me to see such a attack on someone over such a trivial thing. Is this the HAMB spirit??????????????????????????????????
