  1. The weather here today was fab. Got the ol 40 Merc running and made the first cruise of the season:D..Damn!!!!
It's gonna be a good year.
Does the sound of an old car door slamming shut, the feel & smell of the car give you wood? When you fire that muther up and she rumbles. Raw gas:p AAAAA Motor head Niervana.

I sometimes wonder if we(all of us living in the snow states)get more of a bang out of our old cars than the folks that get to drive them all year long. While we wait the 5 months or so to get the car back on the street we read bout cars, work on them but still....we have to wait until the weather is good. The anticipation builds all winter long.
I'm not saying that we have more passion or that we are anything other than typical gearheads, but since we have to wait it sure makes the first drive memorable.

I got the cpe out yesterday for the first time since Nov. Ran about 50 mi with it and as usual the first drive of the year is a ball

  4. Had the roadster out today. Second drive since I broke my leg this past October. It was a tad chilly. But I really wanted to feel the wind in my face. Nothing quite like it!

  5. I think we have more appriciation for it:). There seems to be a lot of us in these snow belt states. Look at Back to the 50's and what a monster it's become. One of the best car show's anywhere!:D

  6. I'm an old biker and I know the feeling.:D

My car's been down for over a year. Once I get the tranny rebuilt, I'll be cruisin the Shark again. I can't wait!

  8. The question is, when you turn your car on, does it return the favor ?

    yes

  10. pulled the turd-hearse out of storage today, hosed off the dust, and couldn't stop driving. I was gone 4 hours.

  11. Run my 32 roadster pretty much all year round.

Just somethin' about firing up the big ol Buick engine and seeing the car rock a bit when it lights off.

I don't race the motor, but it's up on the fast idle cam due to the electric choke.

    Good rumbles, good driving.

Had it out yesterday . . . coverred with dust, a few rain spots and the like.
    Need to wash it....
