Lost track of this one haven't been in years. About 25 years ago, it had been raining in the area for days, the ground was just waterlogged you would step in one spot and the ground would have a wave affect and would move about 10' away.This trip is as close as I have been to being divorced in my 34 years of marriage, when we looking for a place to park, there was a guy stuck in a 57 Chevy as were many, I stop and got out to help him, I told my wife to go down the round and park and not to get off the road thinking she surely had seen how bad it was, I got through and walked down to the gate and waited, after awhile she came walking down the road and said she thought the truck was stuck, I walked down the road, she had pulled onto the shoulder and it completely gave way it was the worst place anyone could of parked , there was a drainage ditch in front and by now people parked ON THE STREET BEHIND US like she should have, you can imagine the conversation that followed, I still feel bad about today, BUT? Anyway a guy pulled up in a 4-wheel drive and I had a chain in the truck, I cut the wheel and it jump up onto the street before it went into the ditch, I thought it would take 2 wench trucks to get out, wasn't much conversation on the way home, but that was 25 years ago, but I bet she could quote every word, she doesn't go with me anymore. But I will try to make it.
When my pop was the president of that club, we had 2 swap meets a year. That was the only time that's been done in that club history. Then a couple years after he was president someone decided that it rained that weekend every year and they changed the date to July. But didn't contact any of the pre registrants so everyone showed up in March pissed off and that's what killed that swap meet!
I remember the year you were talking about I think... we had a frontend loader pulling people out of the mud.
Damn, same weekend as the Pre-45 Meet in Chickasha OK. So we're gonna miss them both instead of just one or the other. I hate it when that happens.
yeah its going on friday (tommorrow) though i have never been on a friday im going to run down on the bike tommorrow after work . . i will be there all day on saturday all you guys that can should come out
They start setup on thursday, but most people setup on friday... but it'll go through sunday. If you had planned it right you could have hit chickasha on friday cruised up to okmulgee and stayed the night and hit it saturday then bailed and drove home!!!
