A buddy in Lubbock (not Buddy Holley) just let me know that an old fella there pasted away recently and his daughter is going to start selling off everything. HE was able to get some pictures of the stuff that is outside but couldnt get inside any of the buildings to take any pics. Here is a photobucket album with some pics of whats laying around outside. He is going to try to get me some more pics and details when he can. Judging from whats laying around outside, there could be some real treasures in the buildings. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v405/hotrod55tbird/Jack Allen junk/?albumview=grid
How can we get in touch with her? I would like more info on the red and white ford truck. Thanks, Tony
A person could go blind looking at her stuff!..lol i would like those artilery wheels..wrong pattern tho im sure
wow.. looks like some good stuff out there, we should get a group together from DFW to drive up there together. Could be fun, West Texas s**** pile in the spring, right when all the rattle snakes get active.. oh great.
It would be nice if you found out contact information and PM or post it so those of us local can do a little inquires
This is Jack Allens property, he had collected cars and parts for many yrs. This is at FM1585 and FM1730 (Slide Rd) about 4 miles south of loop289 on Slide road. Sorry, I don't have any contact info.
Crackernutz, I don't know if there is going to be an auction, I know several of the cars were already gone when I went out there yesterday. I took those pictures posted above so I know that stuff is still there as of yesterday afternoon.
This is going to be one of the best auctions Texas car guys have seen in some time. I'm sure there will be private sales of the cream but the leavings might just be a treasure for quite a few.
So are they just selling it out right? like you go up and make them an offer? will she let you look around yet?
