Rockford Illinois Area - HAMB on the Rocks

Early as 7ish? That leaves time to go to swaps, shows or church.
how about the Stockholm inn on Charles st. at Rockford ave.? The food is really good, the coffee rocks and they price it right along with good service. They have seperate rooms that may be available.

What ever you come up with is good by me. Lets face it, things come up & some can make it & other times you can't. Stockholm Inn is good, but parking could be a problem. The area by you is good, makes it easier for the Cheese Heads. My 2 cents worth.

 

sunday mornings at 7-ish work ok for me as well. roscoe is a nice central location for all i believe.

 

Who does a good breakfast up there? Usually, I'm at Blackhawk Farms when in the neighborhood so it's racetrack breakfast.

 

Sundays early is ok for me too. Will be good to see you guys again.

Alright Sunday morning sounds like a great plan to start the day off with Breakfast and Car talk withouth getting in the way of other activities.

I've never been there but I heard they had great breakfast. It's on the west side of 251 off Hononegah Rd. (The road changes name from Elevator Road once you get West of 251). If you found the Firehouse Pub last time, Jessica's is North of there to Elevator Road, then West to Edgemere Terrace, then left on Edgemere Ct. (not even a mile from the Firehouse Pub).

Yeah we had a great time at Sunday morning breakfast. I guess the restaurant is a hidden local treasure because it was BUSY and the food we had was great. Bobwop and Finn Jensen both brought out the hot rods as the weather was great. The plan for next month is to have HAMB on the Rocks at the Jefferson Swap Meet Chamber Breakfast. Bob can probably add more details as it was his idea. He has also offered to use his dealership as a park and ride if people want to carpool to the swap meet and he has offered his home acreage if people want to camp out. PM bobwop for details. Thanks again to the fellas who came out and I look forward to seeing you all again next month.

How about a HAMB on the Rocks M&G at the Jefferson Swap Meet on Saturday, April 25? I would like to suggest meeting for breakfast at the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce food stand, which is at the North end of the pulling track (in front of grandstand). This is a stategic location within a stone's through of the car corral and the swap area. Would 7:30 AM be a good time?

Also, feel free to visit my dealership along Hwy 26 (Main Street) just South of Jefferson. Top Notch Pre-owned Vehicles has quite a few HAMB friendly vehicles for sale and is also extending an invitation to park and ride to the Swap Meet. We can accommodate trucks with trailers. I would suggest saving the h***le and cost of parking close to the show by parking at Top Notch and riding in together.

I'm planning to go, probably on Saturday. Need to find some 59-62 Caddy heads.

 

I am going friday, my daughters birthday is saturday. I tried to convince her (she will be 13) to go a long and I would buy her car on saturday. She did not want any part of that. lol So I probably won't make it on saturday. Hey bobwop I hope to stop up on friday and check your lot out in the morning hopefully.
