Is anyone making the pancake type air cleaners used on the 40ish-50ish G.M. trucks? I need a pair and have come up empty handed.

They pop up on eBay from time to time, but I'm not sure they are being repopped.

does anyone have an image of this part?

I did a little bouncing around on some N.O.S. and repop sites that deal in '40's gm stuff, but I am not sure what I am looking for.

You have to be careful when looking for them. I found a nice one on the first row of Carlisle for 5 bucks. Later in the day I saw a nicely restored pair. This was over 20 years ago so I almost***** myself when the vendor said 250 bucks for a pair! It turned out that they were for a 53 6cyl Corvette.:D

The nice thing in today's world, nobody is restoring the cars that they originated on.

Only if you call them Corvette air cleaners.:D If I had been paying attention to the vendors other parts, I never would have asked. He was a Corvette vendor. The guy asked me what I paid for the one in my hand and he was as shocked as I was about his 250 dollar units when I replied 5 bucks.:D

Someone from Ohio has a pair in the classifieds. I think it might be OLDSROCKET but I don't remember. Saw them yesterday.

I've had them on several AD chevy trucks and no one told me they were worth more than the truck!
