looks really nice can't wait to see it in person. Why were the fenders and running boards left on when it was painted ? I would think that they would have paint buildup where the panels come together and might start to peel later on ? I always thought that it was better to paint them off of the car, Just asking !!!!

Shiney black is nice! Funny that this thread should come up now. I was lookin at the bright green 'Hot Wheels' '37 Ford Coupe "P***in G***er" at Walmart toy section last night, and thought that the bright green was so cool looking on that '37 coupe that I would paint my '35 Dodge Coupe that green color when it's far enough along to paint. I kid you not, bright green is surprisingly cool looking on a 30s g***er coupe! Its about the shade of green as the foreheads of the smiley faces in this thread.

real nice guys always impressed with a black paint job on a 70+ year old car. either it being very straight to begin with or the tons of work to get it straight...either way always impressive. thanks for the pics

That's going to be a real smooth car. Nice!

 

75% of the car is cut to 2500 ready to get buffed. I had to do some spraying towards the end of the day so I got cut short a little. I buffed out one hoodside real quick to get a preview, looks pretty good so far.

 

A few from today, it's gettin there.

My fingers hurt...

I was hoping to get it outside today for some nice outdoor shots, but the weak battery couldn't crank over that beast of a motor. Tomorrow when I load it up I'll snap off a few.
