need '55 F-100 help

What power steering box can I use with the stock axle? Has anyone had problems using the Speedway disc brake kit?

Toyota PS box from a '80-84 Toyota 4x4 truck. Probably the best mod out there for these trucks. There are a ton of articles on it Here are a few:

I am also going with the Speedway kit...seems to be the best deal out there for all the parts you need.

I am going with the 5 on 5 1/2 kit.

Used the Toyota 4x4 setup on mine, works great.

 

I just got done putting that kit on my truck its simple to install and it uses the stock backing plate holes to mount the brake calipers and you just unbolt the hub from the spindle and install the bearing on the spindle (yes its a tight fit I used a 3 lb sledge and a 2x4 block to tap it on all the way and the rotor sets on that and rotates on that.
