Hi guys! Nice kits!! Would love to see more of that Cameo :))

Here's what I've been up to today:

It's my 1949 Ford G***er project, goes together slowly but surely. After the pic is taken I have been painting some more of the small items, getting the engine done in gold and shot the body/hood/scoop in some kinda white color.

Will hopefully get more done later on - the Sunday ain't over yet :)

Hey harpo1313, I like the kits you've built!! Who needs to be a pro? I don't give a **** if my kits are pro-built or not - they still sit on my shelf as long as I am pleased :))

Got to admit, that's the first rusty fibergl*** Pro-mod body I've ever seen.

That's pretty cool. How do you guys make plastic look rusty, and like multi layered pain?

Nice models again this week! And Johnny has the right idea. I like to build what I want build, not what I think other people want to see. Somtimes I add a ton of detail, sometimes I just do a quicky build. There are no rules, as far as I am concerned. Just have fun doing it!

Hot Rod Michelle, Sometimes I use real rust...it comes in a 2 part kit that I got from Michael's craft store at the Fallbrook mall....I'm sure you know where that is?

Here is my offering for this week....an early B/A T bucket in 1/8 scale.

car toon: hail the fun :)) btw, helluva nice bucket!!!! Some years ago I started a 1/8 bucket but when the frame was built I noticed that I have no shelf space for a monster like that. Still don't have it but I really get inspired to continue now :))

kiwi: another wild, wicked & krazy car :)

  21. and heres a few rusty examples. i use red oxide rust kill paint and mist over the top with black primer. repeat process untill your happy with result. for patina, ill paint the car several diffrent colours and then carefully sand it back.

LOL..I knew someone would catch the "rusty fibergl***" thing... :) Lets just call it "faux" finish on a pro-mod :) There was a black one last year done up with fake patina..looked cool. art wise :)

Il rewrite my tutorial for you guys.
Basically its acrylic paints and rubbing alcohol :p
