Tri-Fives, Drum Brakes and Drop Spindles...?

I've been looking around for some options for my 55 BelAir and it's drum brakes. I like the stance of the car with front drop spindles but since I want to keep the drum brakes for the nostalgic traditional look I'm not seeing to many options.
Does anyone know if there is such a thing as drop spindles for drum brakes?

Be vary leary of the disk brake drop spindles. I bought some and found that they are CAST IRON!!!!!
They had a few machining errors like the ball joints would not fit and the design reduced the turning radius. I was lucky to get them returned.

  4. The dropped spindles from Hiedt's will work with drums or discs. And they are forged not cast.

  5. can anyone confirm this?

No, I bought Heidt´s and the do not work with drum brakes, but you can make them fit with some fabrication!
Check the link in my previous post..

  9. I saw that link. Great job but I don't have the facilities to fabricate all the necessary parts.

  10. Heard back from Heidt's and they don't have anything for drum brakes like Chev55 had said.
    looking into shorter springs now
