Ryan did a Jalopy Journal entry that featured a clip of the movie. I want to see the whole thing soon!
I was looking for the movie on eBay and Amazon recently and couldn't find it. Anyone know where to buy a copy? DVD or VHS
I read an interview that Tiffin gave one time. She said she was embarr***ed by the movie and wished she had never made it. Kinda takes the edge off of things. She has probably changed her mind by now, since I think it's one of the movies that keeps folks from asking "Pamala who????". I thought it was a pretty good flick. Larry T
DAMN the Roll bars in the two of those roadster are rad!!! I swear by everything that is good and holy in this world a Chrome Roll Bar will make it's way on to my roadster soon!!!!
Sorry Guy's !!! It's called old timers lol.I forgot all about my old post. I go to the bathroom and can't find my way back to the living room. Thank's Larry T. Cecil
I recorded it off t.v. (uncut) onto VHS then recently had it transferd to DVD, as a bonus I had Hotrod Herman taped after it on the VHS so that's on there as well...lol
The Lively Set bucket was for sale here in San Diego-listed on ebay about a year ago. The fringed top was gone but it looked like the car.
If anyone is interested I own the T-Bucket from "The Lively Set". I just finished restoring the car in 2009. I just need to get the pinstripping done. Oh yea, it is for sale as of Jan. 2010. I have a '48 Packard Convertible that I want to do next. You can't keep them all, but I try. Pictures are available on my website: www.autoarch.com
That's the one Tom Branch had back in the late ninties. It turned out that it was the Eddie Dye car, just lacking it's nose. As far as I know, Don Orosco bought it in 2001 or so, procured or reproduced the nose and was restoring it to it's late forties look. Haven't seen a thing about it in quite awhile though... Oh - some pictures of the car as Branch had it in the first HOP UP annual, and I think Street Rodder did an article on it in '99 or so.
Sorry, the Devin is not for sale. I bought it from Bill Devin in '96, it was Bill Devin jr's. car, always in the family. We raced it at the Monterey Historics in '98. Its a keeper and a blast.
"The Lively Set" is one of my favorite movies of all time. Not because of Pam but because it is a great movie about a hot rodder and has some great guest starts too. I like the outside shoots too to see how things were back in the day. After looking at the Pam pics showed here, I didn't realzie how tiny she was. Thought she was hot in the movie but, also *****y at times. It is a good addition to any movie lilbrary and you can watch it with all ages. Steve
