Draglinks has got some better pictures but I couldn't wait.
What a great Saturday we had. Grinder was the man, he's old and experienced and the job couldn't have been done without him.
Everyone helped, Draglinks welded shit up like a mofo and cut out sheets of metal filler panels. Indian Jim bought beer. Bigums is a devil with the 2x4. Switchblade Teeth got to learning. Dave bought a jigsaw and Beavis and Butthead videos for post party entertainment. And my wife? She just plain rocks.

I'm so happy with how it came out. It looks awesome and it only took a skim of Bondo to square it up.
I can't tell you how much I love and appreciate my friends, they all chipped in. A job that would have taken me a week by myself was accomplished in 8 hours, minus the Bondo/sanding bullshit. That's what my wife loves to do.
So yeah the fugly van window looking thing is gone and I've got this smooth flowing beauty in there.
Gawd I love this hobby of hours.
And to my FLA pals, you're the best, the best friends anyone could hope to have.
BTW, Bigums drove all the way from Tampa to sit in with the shenanigans, he's got heart.

try emailing some of the guys selling '47 Plymouth parts on ebay...

they might have it or know somebody who does...

I've had good luck finding obscure/wierd stuff that way...
(stuff they wouldn't usually take the time or think to list...)

I want to thank you guys for letting me come out and get in the way. I had a lot of fun and learned quite a bit. Plus, its so cute to watch Bob holding Justin's hand as he learns to grind. [IMG]

Mike: I know your boy Nate from somewhere, but I just couldn't place it. I was trying to figure that shit out the whole way home.

    Here's a few pics I got...

Thanks for all yer input fellas. I guess we're kinda blessed getting to do this shit in the outdoors in the middle of October. Funny thing is just about the second the final grinding was done around 6.00 pm the skies opened up and it POURED!
I don't think the car will be painted for the Turkey Run over Thanksgiving. But I'm not gonna push it for a deadline. I want her to look half way decent.
Maybe The Rumbler's show in February would be a better target.

Fer sure I'm a happy camper.
