I've poked around google and here but still not coming up with answers. the question is did ford ever make 16" stock steel wheels that are plain (no holes) with 5 on 5 1/2 bp, that have the outside bumps (or inside). 50's, 60's, 70's? that look like the 50's car rim. the later 16" (90's and up) have slots and the flat faced lug nuts. the one's in the picture are 15". i think i found some 50's f100 wheels that were 16x5.5 (would like 6 or 7" wide and also need 5). thanks in advance.
Very interested in the same thing; I don't think they used any, though. I think they had 16.5's. I've been thinking of getting some made from one of the vendors, not cheap but probably worth it.
16" 5 bolt wheels were an available option for F-100s in the 1960s, at least per my 1966 factory brochure. No idea on what kind of bumps were on them, but I ***ume they were configured to take a regular Ford hubcap of the era.
i just found hubcaps and they were listed for 77-79 16". i was thinking vendors but they're about $105 to $117 ea plus shipping. don't want to lower the '54 just yet and 16's will take up more of the wheel well.
I have a 1973 F-100 and whated bigger rims. I just bought the 16" 2003 Ford Steel wheels locally for $50 ea. I had a friend drill the new bolt pattern in it and I added WWW and bullit lug nuts . It turned out pretty cool.
My 1963 F100 unibody has 16" wheels, 3 with the "bumps" on the inside, and 1 like those pictured. I kinda like the older style (bumps inside) wheels... I have pics too if interested.
inside bumps are good too (i wasn't sure if they were made in the 60's). i guess then next step it to post in the wanted section and keep looking.
