Myrtle Beach Run to the Sun

Had great weather and a good turn out. I am must say that I am dissapointed at the number of cars trailered ( about 75% of the rat rod/traditional rods) that were there. In addition there were a bunch of cars that were "bought" and the new owners new nothing about them. To each is own, at least they were available for the public to view. This is a great show and it is FREE to boot. Hope you like the pics.

Not a picture taker, but was there myself.Met 2 H.A.M.B.rs there.Don't remeber there names,sorry,nice guys with a nice black roadster that sounded awesome! Took my truck there with only 30 miles on it.Had a great time!!! They said there was 2500 cars and 50,000 spectartors!!! FYI> I'm the jack*** standing in front of my truck!

It is yearly. Check out Pee Dee street rodders for the next event. They put on a good show. Nice to see a free show and they raise a good amount of money for charity.

 

Nope,every time I saw it I didn't have a camera.That thing was cool though.Had a Lenco in it and 5 inch exhaust pipes that protruded 3 feet past the back of the car!

 

He should lean that rat against the tire with it's arms crossed so that it looks like it's crying.
Bet he's got an Iron Cross on that Gold Chain of his.

What is with trailered rat rods after reading the above and the threads from Billet Proof, it seems to me there is a problem; are the cars unsafe, are they undriveable, are they unlicenced therefore also uninsured. Maybe the organisers should have a look at this.

 

BE CAREFUL making that statment about trailering and bought cars. I made the same comment about the Billetless Proof show and got all the fat guys ***ties flapping!
