Anyone have pics of ribbed plymouth bumpers on a '46-'48 Ford coupe?

Do they need to be narrowed at all?

Nope, it fit perfectly. The filler panel between the body & bumper had to be modified and the bumper brackets had to be fab'ed, but the bumper fits as is.

The only desireable pieces of a 49 Plymouth, made more so by the fact that they were a short production year as the 48s were continued into 49 as 49s at the normal introduction time until the "new" Chrysler products were finalized and in production.

I have a 49 Plymouth grille and bumper on my 46 Ford coupe. Here are some pics of the build. It's been painted and and being ***embeled for the final time. Len (ChopShop) in Woburn MA did all metal work and paint.

Did you swap the back for the front on your ford? I have a 48 ,and was told it looks best if the back bumper is on the front and vice versa.thx
