Building up my "A". Bought an S10 for parts (T5, rear end, steering column and such) Has complete new brake system. Want to put the brakes on my dropped axle. Anyone make a kit?

most kits are developed around a specific rotor, but the "metric" GM calipers should be useable.

The 82-90 rotors, and 82-92 calipers, are the same as the 82-87 camaro "Metric" brakes. You should be able to get mount kit from Chris, at Superior brake & steering, in N.C. (704) 872-7253. The calipers can be used, but you may have to use 11" rotors. It also depends on what spindles you are using.

The first thing you need to do is to see if you can find bearings that will adapt the S-10 hub to the 40 spindle.

The outer cone for the 40 is a National 09074 with an inside diameter of .75
The inner cone for the 40 is a National 15118 with an inside diameter of 1.1895.

The S 10 outer bearing set is a National A34
    The S 10 inner bearing set is a National A 6
It will take a bit of time in a bearing cross over book but you should be able to find bearings and seals that will adapt the hub to the spindle.

The caliper brackets to mount the S-10 Calipers aka GM Metric calipers to the 40 spindles shouldn't be that hard to find.

Save yourself a lot of frustration and get ahold of Ralph at ECI. He will steer you in the right direction. Trying to use something "just because you have it" is sometimes foolish economy. Brakes are too important to skimp on. Ralph is "the man" when it comes to economical, safe brake systems.
