Well I found a another car that I felt was a great deal, but my wife didn't agree. So with a little time of no talking and some cool down time I won and purchased my new toy. 1952 Buick 2dr.Special Deluxe all original 88k miles.
Now that its home and she has gone for a ride in it, she likes it. Whew I'm sure glad.

If she gives you any more grief over it, let me know. Better yet, just p*** the car over to me and avoid the headache.

I'm heading out to look at a Meyers Manx-style dune buggy. I don;t quite have the wife convinced on that one yet. Maybe she'll like it when I bring it home tonight.

    Looks like a clean Buick.

    Nice ride!

  7. I'd like one of those. Kind of like a cheap roadster or maybe not? :)

Oh yeah... The new Buick is very nice.

No I'm not going to rat rod it, I'm more than likely will lower it a bit and just drive it and enjoy it.

I won't tell you how much I paid for it, but I'll give you a hint. It was less than half of Nada's low retail value.
I can almost hear some of you crying now!!

  21. If you have a really nice car and rats infest it:eek: is it a Rat Rod then??:D

I think that tells you how relevent a NADA guide is when buying a car that old.

Whatever you paid, it's less than what a Ford or Chevy would have cost, because a Buick is less desireable.

Looks real nice, and if you got it that cheap, that sidetrim alone is proabably worth a good % of what you paid!!!

  24. I have a Buickahol friend here in Minn who has a few rag tops, A 53 Skylark and 55. I know he paid a pretty fair penny for them.
Maybe your car was some stock market dude's baby:(

I think asking someone what they paid for something is just plain rude. It's no one's business, boys and girls.

Damn nice Buford you have there!

  28. To the right person Buicks are very desirable. :)
A lot of folks lust after them.
