Here is a 29 Cabriolet that the previous owner cut the door posts off of. Now more like a roadster with longer doors.

That is not a cabriolet. It's a sport coupe. 29 cabriolets had smooth cowls like 30-31s

Here's the engine in my coupe. It's a Jay Steel/Taylor Engine built piece, with a Winfield head, Winfield SR D carb and intake, "C" crank, Brierley cam, big valves, full pressure oiling and a bunch of other stuff too.

This is a collection of parts and pieces including a '29 CCPU cowl, '28 CCPU doors and 6-1/2" stretched corner panels from Howell's. Flatbed is redwood. Great driver as it has a B block, original CRAGAR head, F-1 steering, T-5 transmission, hydraulic brakes.

  14. Here's the old brown Vicky. It now has a little over 112k on the paint and interior. Looking to add 8 to 10,000 miles this year.

I took this photo last summer at Shawnee State Park, near Portsmouth, Ohio. We had been to a couple events in Columbus the prior weekend and were on our way to Louisville.

I submitted this photo to Street Scene magazine for the cover photo contest, but was not selected. I like the photo anyway.

See you down the road, PHIL

Haha Thanks Elrod! It was so much fun to put together.

I've been meaning to hide that better . I believe it's from Napa or car quest. Basic over the counter electric pump.

    Thanks for the kind words!

The oiling system is pretty nutty! My grandfather originally designed it in the 50's, but without a filter. We changed it up a little bit to add a filter. Thats actually the boss for the oil return line on the outside of a regular A block, not a B, which would have the fuel pump boss. you can see that the boss on the side plate is blocked off for pressure.

Real nutty for sure, but it works great!

Here's Gene Peterson's 31. Car started as a coupe - channeled 7" sectioned 6" shortened 36" & Model T windshield posts moulded to body. Car was featured in Hot Rod October 1963. Definitely an "odd" Model A.

  28. A picture of my 31 Slant window Town Sedan as I pulled it out of my barn after 25 years of storage. Only to be stolen in my Enclosed trailer 3 days later.

Still miss the car. Last driven in 1976.
Now the only Model A I have is a 31 Roadster

This thing caused a near riot when it first showed up in an Aussie rod show in the late 60's. Australia didn't get coupes prior to 1933, so any A or deuce coupes downunder up until the 70's were either imported or handbuilt bodies. A sports coupes with sedan rear roof sections were all the rage (if you could find a sports coupe that was)

This is the 'Sedoupe' in all its glory. Originally plain gold metalflake but otherwise very much the car as you see it, the landscaping was added in the 70's from memory, although the artist's name excapes me. (Dave Hart?) The story goes the vinyl roof was added during the original build to cover up the 'interesting' mix of sheetmetal that made up the steel roof.

Now this is Aussie hotrodding ingenuity at its best!

    Cheers, Glen.

Lots of potential here. I was gonna bring this home, then the guy up and sold it. My plans were to keep it a leather back but CHOP it. That would have been alot of work, specially for me. Im a welder, Not a carpenter or a seamstress.
