ok i searched and can not find and casting number sires or id sites for mopar trannies before 1960 now i know i am not that smart but they were not using rubber bands in mopars in the 50s i just picked up a 1957 392 ce57 vin with this very heavy alum bellhosing cast iron body ****** brake on tailshaft it has part of the shift cable and seems to have 5 positions its also air cooled (wierd ) the guy i got it from put it in storage over 30 years ago so he does not remeber and he thinks its not the ****** from the motor there is a adaptor between the bellhosing and the engine looks like a stater hump higher up like it mite fit a 6 cylinder also every where i looked the talk about these beasts for about a sentance then go to 727 trainies now i know for what i am going to do with the motor i will not use this ****** but it would be nice to sell to get some of my money back to build the motor some one must need this ****** (anchor) opps thank you i know there some guys on here tht know a lot more than me thank you guys
