when it comes to coil overs you get what you pay for.. The cheaper ones dont have adjustable rebound and the real expensive ones have adjustment both ways...

I bought mine from pete and jakes but they weren't cheap I think they were around
$389.00 and are adjustable and look great.
Not sure how much So-Cal is charging.
Pete and Jakes are an alliance vendor.

I searched a junk-yard for a couple of hours, found an old Jeep truck with aftermarket coil-over air shocks. A half hour to take them off, a couple of days of fabricating and cussing, probably have about $50 total (and a heap of work) in them installed. Downside is the extra work, re-fabbing mounts a couple of times, changing the angle to change rate, adapt ride height, etc.

Thinking about doing it makes me tired:eek:

  11. I use oval track shocks.

PRO or Carrera Steel Body Shocks, coil-over kits and then get the proper rate springs. Cheaper than street rod shocks and you get get the damping like you want. 50/50, 60/40, 40/60, etc.

    Adjustables are more pricey.
