You know, there's NOTHING wrong with running a direct linkage - a 3x2 on a larger V8 is practically MADE for it. Hell, this is what most folks did back in the day anyway! ~Jason
i dont know how old this post is but. put a spring over the secondary throtle rod to close the secondarys i have a 2x4 intake for sale on here now you can see kind of what i am talking about jim
On the closing off of air: First, you need to work with the individual throttle bodies... loosen teh screws slightly so throttle blades can be shifted in shaft...hold the throttle assembly up and look in while jiggling blades around until you achieve the closest possible approach to no light coming through around blades. Set idle opening (or non-opening) after this. Remember to retighten and restake screws. See that throttle shafts each move easily...no way can you get multiples to close easily if the individual ones can'r close easily. Bolt to manifold and jiggle the bases to get smooth working of all after you get the individuals closing right...you must get the shafts exactly para llel to avoid binding in that plane. If using some closed, put them on closed, put ones working (I too think all) on with very slight equal openings and put on linkage without disturbing throttles
