History Historic Stock Car Photos

Love those pictures. As an avid collector of vingtage stock car photos myself, the hardest thing to find is color pics from the 40's and 50's.

I don't recognize the landmarks...

I can't help but also notice no barriers between the race cars and the spectators in one of your great shots...

 

Sorry Weaverville, but I can take NO credit for those shots! Unfortunately I don't know who actually took them so I can give them credit.

 

Weaverville, I didn't find the exact photo, but I know the USAC stocks ran IRP, and they ran one race at Meadowdale.

Been doing some serious searching and came across some goodies. How about a Smokey Yunick pit stop at Daytona in 1963?

 

And another from 1963. Looks like Tiny Lund in the Wood Brothers 21 on the outside, and could that be a young Richard Petty at the rear of this pack?
